Aniza Jewels
Jewelry Care Guide
With the right care, your Aniza pieces will stay beautiful for years.
Understanding Our Materials
All Aniza Jewels pieces are crafted from 925 Sterling Silver as a base, plated with 18k Gold Vermeil or Rose Gold Vermeil. Some pieces use solid sterling silver with a rhodium finish for a cool, bright look. Demi-fine jewelry is made to last — but like all precious metals, it benefits from regular care.
Gold Vermeil
- —Store in a dry, cool place
- —Remove before swimming or bathing
- —Avoid perfume & hairspray directly on the piece
- —Clean with a soft dry cloth after wearing
Rose Gold Vermeil
- —Same care as gold vermeil
- —Rose gold may develop a warm patina over time — this is natural
- —Avoid prolonged exposure to water
- —Polish gently with a jeweller's cloth
Sterling Silver
- —Silver can tarnish naturally over time
- —Store in an airtight pouch or box
- —Clean with a silver polishing cloth
- —Avoid contact with chlorine, bleach, and harsh chemicals
General Dos & Don'ts
Do
- ✓Put jewelry on last, after applying makeup and perfume
- ✓Store each piece separately to prevent scratching
- ✓Clean gently with a soft, lint-free cloth
- ✓Keep pieces in their Aniza pouch or box when not in use
- ✓Remove jewelry before exercising or sleeping
Don't
- ✗Wear jewelry in the shower, pool, or sea
- ✗Expose to household chemicals, cleaning products, or bleach
- ✗Apply perfume, hairspray, or lotions directly onto jewelry
- ✗Sleep with delicate necklaces or earrings
- ✗Store multiple pieces together without separation
Cleaning Your Jewelry at Home
For a gentle clean, dampen a soft cloth with warm water and a tiny drop of mild soap. Wipe the piece gently, then pat dry immediately with a clean cloth. Allow it to air dry completely before storing. Never soak vermeil pieces in water or use ultrasonic cleaners, as this can damage the plating.
For sterling silver that has tarnished, use a dedicated silver polishing cloth (available at most jewelry stores). A light buff will restore the shine in seconds.
Longevity Tips
The longevity of gold vermeil plating depends largely on how it is worn and stored. With proper care, your Aniza pieces can last for years. The more carefully you treat them, the longer they keep their brilliance. Pieces that are worn daily will naturally show more wear than those worn occasionally — this is expected with all demi-fine jewelry.
